






The department is headed by PhD in Technical Sciences, Rahib Aydin oglu Imamquliyev. The faculty consists of 14 members: 5 PhD holders, Associate Professors; 3 PhD holders; 1 Senior Lecturer; and 4 Lecturers. The department trains specialists in a single program, 'Information Technologies'. For other BBU undergraduate programs, it teaches 'Informatics', 'Information and Communication Technologies', and 'Specialized Information Technologies'. At the master's level, courses in 'Business Information Systems', 'Management Information Systems', and 'Automated Information Systems in Enterprises' are taught in Azerbaijani, English, and Russian. Undergraduate courses in 'Informatics', 'Information and Communication Technologies', and 'Specialized Information Technologies' are also offered to English-language students.
The department emphasizes research, including monographs, textbooks, teaching aids, articles, relevant programs, methodological resources, and lecture preparation. The library contains textbooks, teaching aids, and methodological materials for these subjects.
Improving teaching quality and training qualified specialists is a key focus of the department. Faculty members have published numerous theses and articles in national journals and international indexed databases (Scopus, Web of Science, etc.). Expanding research in this area remains a major objective for the department.
