The supreme administrative body of Baku Business University is its Academic Council. The Council is composed of distinguished scholars of the Republic of Azerbaijan and recognized pedagogical specialists. Meetings of the Academic Council primarily discuss key issues related to the effective organization and management of teaching at BBU, adopt targeted decisions, and oversee their implementation. Additionally, the Council addresses scientific research activities, publication matters, and organizational issues, while also giving special attention to sports and other mass events alongside educational affairs.

In the Academic Council, strategic matters related to the university's development priorities, management improvement, education quality enhancement, strengthening of scientific activity, and institutional development are also considered. Along with this, the effective organization of scientific research work, publication activity, personnel training, development of the academic environment, and other organizational issues are discussed, and appropriate decisions are made. In the activities of the Council, special attention is also paid to educational and pedagogical work, including the implementation of socio-cultural, sports and other public interest events serving the comprehensive development of students.
