Ibad Musa Abbasov

Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Ibad Musa Abbasov is one of Azerbaijan’s prominent economists. He defended his PhD in 1988 in Saint Petersburg on “Improving control and inspection in telecommunications enterprises” and his Doctorate in 2001 in Kazan on “Financial analysis in audit.” In 1993, he received the title of Professor. I.M. Abbasov is the author of over 100 scientific works, including 4 textbooks, 5 monographs, 5 teaching aids, 2 methodological guides, numerous course programs, and scientific articles. His works have been published in prestigious journals in Germany, Turkey, and the Russian Federation. Since 1999, he has been the Editor-in-Chief of the journal “Audit.” He significantly contributed to training highly qualified specialists and serves as Vice-Chair of the Specialized Dissertation Council at the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University under the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He is the founder of the Audit scientific school in Azerbaijan and has participated in national and international scientific forums. He has been awarded honorary diplomas and prizes for his contributions to the development of economics and economist training in Azerbaijan.
