The department is headed by PhD in Economics, Aysel Tofiq qizi Qasimova. The faculty consists of 30 members: 3 Professors, 8 Associate Professors, 6 PhD holders, 4 Doctoral Students, 1 Senior Lecturer, and 8 Lecturers. Courses include 'Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Fundamentals of Law', 'Public Service', 'History of Azerbaijan', 'Civil Defense', as well as 'Social Work' courses such as 'Social Problems of the Modern Era', 'Ethical Principles in Social Work Practice', 'Case Management', 'Social Work with Persons with Disabilities', 'Social Assistance System in Azerbaijan', and others, totaling 42 courses.

Research work is conducted according to the department plan, including textbooks, teaching aids, methodological resources, programs, lecture texts, presentations, and scientific articles. Seminar sessions are held in the department’s specialized laboratory equipped with modern technical and teaching resources.
